Our children are very important to us at Highland Crest Baptist Church. This is reflected in everything we do to teach and care for them. Our number one mission for each child is to share Christ and equip them with the basic tools that they can carry with them into adolescence and adulthood.For your child's safety we have established certain requirements for service in the Children's area. Anyone working with our children of any age in any capacity must attend at least 6 months and then fill out a "Ministry to Minors" application. The application includes a release form allowing us to do a record check with local and former local authorities to alert us of any threat of abuse or criminal activity. Strict confidentiality is observed. This is one way we show high esteem and value to our children, by doing everything in our power to keep them safe and accounted for.
Our Children's Wing and Preschool rooms offer a safe environment with constant supervision and above-average teacher/child ratios. We make opportunities for them to sing songs, memorize scripture, hear Bible stories and interact with other children in a wholesome atmosphere. Our goal is to provide them with a teaching opportunity the moment they walk in the door.
